Soft washing is a cleaning method that uses low pressure and specialized solutions to remove bacteria, algae, and mildew from roofs and other exterior home surfaces. Our soft wash method kills the grime and has a surfactant that allows it to cling to the surface long enough to be effective. Our team uses specialized soft wash equipment like nozzles to apply the solution. These nozzles can spray solution up to 30 feet in the air. This allows us to clean most homes while standing on the ground, even up to 3 stories high. Our soft wash method allows the project to be done safely and limits the need for ladders or equipment coming in contact with the house.
What to Expect from Window Hero’s Soft Wash Service
When Window Hero arrives at your home, we make sure the surrounding areas have been cleared of anything that could be damaged or interfere with the cleaning. This could include any outdoor electronics, potted plants, or decorations like wreaths.
Our soft wash method is a two step process, first applying the solution, then rinsing the solution. We will typically apply the solution to one side or area of a house at a time and then go back and rinse. The solution will be “working” for up to 5-10 minutes, then is thoroughly rinsed off. For siding with extremely built up grime or mildew, a second application may be needed. For most homes, our soft wash service can be completed in less than 2 hours.
